Reports to: Executive Director
Compensation: Negotiable
Essential Duties:
- Research private and public grant opportunities for Global Gardens. Maintain a working list of prospects that is updated regularly.
- Establish a grant calendar and a list of proposals submitted/received. Provide quarterly reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Work with the Executive Director and staff to complete working description(s) of Global Gardens programs and projects to use in grant proposals.
- Make foundation contacts via email and phone as appropriate. Work with the Executive Director, Development Director, and Board Members to strategize communication with grantmakers.
- Write and submit grant proposals in collaboration with the Executive Director and staff.
- Write and update acknowledgment letters for restricted and unrestricted grants.
- Write grant reports and ensure that they are submitted in a timely fashion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, at a minimum
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- At least two years of experience with grant writing
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse team members
- Integrity and confidentiality
- Belief in the mission of Global Gardens and the value of GG programming

Global Gardens is currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated teaching professional to fill the role of part-time Garden Educator. The Garden Educator will provide after-school and summer programming for approximately 10-15 hours per week.
